The Ecommerce Workshop run by Glasgow Chambers of Commerce and sponsored by Scottish Chambers International and the Royal Bank of Scotland is an in-depth workshop for retailers and wholesalers that want to generate multi-million online sales using the web. The half-day workshop will include detailed road-maps, processes, implementation methods, internationalisation and tools all backed up by successful local case studies.
Should have good knowledge of retail or wholesale as well as some experience of running their own website or selling online via sites such as eBay or Amazon. Participants should have a strong grasp of business principles such as Return on Investment and understand how supply chains work. Some knowledge of Internet Marketing will help ensure you get the best out of the workshop.
From the event is a much improved understanding of how eCommerce works, key drivers for growing market share, ways to reduce risk and how to focus on those tasks that with the least effort in the shortest time provide the best profit. You will learn how to analyse your own business and it's market and gather a library of tips and tricks to optimise and improve what you do.
Will be a key feature of the event. To maximise this, attendees will be asked provide some basic information about their existing activities and this focus will then be used by the presenters throughout the workshop to direct worked examples of how best to optimise the different components of eCommerce.
